Junior Minister Robert Troy's apology concerning 'omissions and errors' in his register of interests is not good enough.
That's according to the Social Democrats who say the recent revelations concerning the Longford/Westmeath Fianna Fail TD were serious, and to draw a line under them is not acceptable.
Minister Troy apologised to constituents, colleagues, the Dáil and the Standards in Public Office Commission and has made seven amendments to his declaration.
Co-leader of the Social Democrats Roisin Shortall said the revelations raise serious concerns.
I think the revelations of the last couple of weeks are quite concerning in relation to Robert Troy.
This isn't a matter of him just forgetting one property , or to declare that one property , y'know there's a whole string of properties and business involvement that he should have declared, that he was required to declare, and he didn't do that, and I think that's a very serious matter.
