Sorca Clarke has been returned after the 13th count after receiving over 2,000 transfers from Barry Campion.
Clarke (SF) returns to the Dail after being elected in 2020 having topped the Longford-Westmeath poll. Clarke joins Fine Gael’s Peter Burke who exceeded the quota on the first count.
Three seats remain to be filled with Clarke’s surplus of 563 to distribute.
Kevin “Boxer” Moran is currently in third place just 60 votes off the quota. Indeed, Robert Troy (FF) sits in fourth place with Michael Carrigy (FG) fifth.
Whereas, Incumbent Joe Flaherty is 2,537 votes off Carrigy. However Paul Hogan sits in seventh place with 4,305 votes
