South Roscommon flooding crisis raised as Dáil resumes after summer break

The Taoiseach said everyone will continue to work closely together to find a solution to the crisis

OPW Minister Kieran O'Donnell is visiting Roscommon tomorrow to update homeowners on his efforts to solve the Lough Funshinagh flooding crisis. He's meeting residents and politicians in the council chamber at 10 o'clock in the morning.

It's understood he will confirm a planning application will be lodged on Friday for a temporary pipeline and pumping solution at Curraghboy. It was due to be submitted by the end of August - and Independent Ireland TD Michael Fitzmaurice raised the issue with Taoiseach Simon Harris in the Dáil earlier today:

Responding to Deputy Fitzmaurice, the Taoiseach said everyone will continue to work closely together to find a solution to the crisis:
