A well-known South Roscommon nursing home has announced they are to close their doors.
The small family run centre has been providing long and short term care for up to 29 residents since 1997.
The low fair deal rate has been attributed to making the home unviable.
It's the third family run care facility to close in the last number of months, following an announcement by Costello's Nursing home in Ballyleague and the Stella Maris in Athlone due to similar issues.
Following the announcement, Nursing Homes Ireland, a representative body for the sector says it's a sad day for both the residents and the Curley family.
They say the sector is now facing an emergency due to the long standing failures of the fair deal scheme.
