Special event in Roscommon to plan for International Women's Day

Women from across Co Roscommon are being invited to a special event next week to plan for International Women's Day this March.

Members of the Women's Regional Caucus plan to mark the day with a complete reversal of the gender balance in a number of county council chambers throughout the west, midlands, and northern region.

The idea of the ' gender reversal' in the council chambers was put forward by the See Her Elected project which aims to support women to get involved in local politics.

All women interested are being invited to attend the planning event on Thursday of next week the 23rd of February, at Gleesons Townhouse in Roscommon town.
