Members of two Roscommon credit unions will decide tonight if their branches will merge.
A special online meeting gets underway at 6pm for members of Roscommon Credit union to approve plans to merge their services with Ballaghaderreen.
Members of the west Roscommon financial institution will also get the chance to approve the plan when they meet, also virtually, at 8pm tonight.
The boards of both unions say the merger would allow for more investment in the local communities and would allow access to a broader range of savings and loans' services for everyone.
If the members agree tonight, the plan will move to the next stage of approval by the regulatory body with hopes that the merge may be finalised by the end of the year.
