Sporting volunteers from across the Shannonside region were honoured last night at the annual GAA President's Awards.
The event which was broadcast on TG4 acknowledged the outstanding commitment and long service of two locals across their club and county network.
Drumreilly native James Holohan was presented with the Connacht award for his work as a Games Promotion Officer.
While Marie O'Brien from Four Roads in Roscommon was recognised for her dedication to promoting camogie.
GAA President Larry McCarthy says both James and Marie are inspirational people who have made an outstanding contribution towards the success of Gaelic games.
