The club called off an underage match yesterday evening

St Brigid's GAA club in south Roscommon says it is hoping that by taking a cautious approach to matches and training it will minimise the possibility of an increase of cases of Covid 19 in the area.

The club called off an underage match yesterday evening, following concerns over a player being a possible close contact. It comes heath officials continue to monitor events in the Athlone area following the identification of fourteen probable cases of the Delta variant after large gatherings in the west side of the town on June 11th.

A walk-in testing centre is opening tomorrow in St Aloysius school from 10am to 4pm for adults and children, which will run until Saturday. St Brigid's Club is urging anyone with any symptoms or who may feel they have been exposed to get tested.
