St. Brigids landed their 17th Roscommon senior football championship with a 1-11 to eight point win over Padraig Pearses.
Brigids were excellent throughout were in reality defending champions Padraig Pearses never really showed up.
In truth the first-half was a dour affair as Brigids led five points to four in what was a tight affair with no real give between both sides.
Brian Stack found the games only goal after 41 minutes, Pearses were never able to respond to the goal as Brigids forwards Ben O’Carroll and Ciarán Sugrue each kicked scores to further stretch out the lead.
Padraig Pearses never recovered and it was Brigids who claimed their first Roscommon title since 2017 by six points, 1-11 to eight points.
