A board member of a Longford disability service says that addressing staff concerns is a major priority for the organisation.
It comes as Forsa members at St Christopher's Services have formally announced upcoming industrial action.
The centre on the Battery Road in Longford Town provides a community-based service for people with intellectual difficulties.
Last week, staff voted almost entirely in favour of industrial action over issues at the service.
The action will take the form of a work-to-rule protest and will take place on Tuesday, May 28.
Management informed staff last month that they would be suspending incremental payments in 2024 'until further notice' as ordered by the HSE, causing much upset among staff.
Uruemu Adejinmi is a local Fianna Fail councillor in the town and sits on the board of the service.
She has assured staff all entitlements owed to staff to be paid in full.
