St. Mary’s Kiltoghert stunned the defending champions Glencar Manorhamilton to book a place in the Leitrim senior football final.
St. Mary’s were always in control of the game, winning out 2-14 to 13 points, having led eight points to four at the break.
Robbie Lowe, Alan Doherty Paul Keaney and Darragh Farrell all sent over two points each for Mary’s with the Glencar Manor scorers being Ronan Flynn and a Conor Dolan free.
Manor picked up the pace in the second bring the game down to double scores on 33 minutes, but St. Mary’s replied to the Mano offense making it 10 point to six on 38 minutes.
Ray Mulvey’s cut off the side and fist passed the ball into Dave O’Connell finished it to the net for a St. Mary’s goal on 39 minutes, making it 1-10 to six minutes.
Paul Keaney converted a 53rd minute penalty to make it 2-12 to nine points, which was too much for Manor to pull back as St. Mary’s won out 2-14 to 13 points.
