Staff at a Longford disability centre are to suspend their ongoing industrial action ahead of a ballot on Monday.
St Christopher's staff has been holding a work-to-rule over a dispute centring on the non-payment of increments promised under a previous pay agreement.
Trade union Fórsa and St Christopher's management have now agreed on a set of proposals designed to harmonise pay scales and address staff concerns.
The proposals are set to be put before the staff for a vote on Monday.
They include rulings that, from January 1, all staff on the current 2021 pay scale will move to the 2022 scale, with all staff moving to the 2023 scale in July.
Local Fine Gael deputy Micheál Carrigy praised staff and management at the popular service for reaching this stage.
