The vast majority of staff at St. Christopher's Services in Longford have voted in favour of industrial action.
St Christopher's Services provide a community-based service for people with intellectual difficulties at their campus on the Battery Road in Longford Town.
Problems have been raised by staff and local political representatives over management issues and pay disparities between the service staff and their HSE counterparts.
Management informed staff last month that they would be suspending incremental payments in 2024 'until further notice' as ordered by the HSE.
CEO Derek Scanlon resigned from the board of St Christopher's CLG last week.
Staff were balloted over the last week, with 134 out of 136 staff voting in favour of the action.
Speaking to Let's Talk, Forsa official Tony Martin says that the staff feel like they have no other choice but to pursue this course:
