Met Eireann says a Status Red wind warning may be issued for tomorrow, as Storm Eunice arrives in Ireland.
A status yellow wind, rain and snow warning will kick in for the entire country from 1am tonight, with mass power outages and coastal flooding possible.
A number of southern and western counties will be under a Status Orange wind warning from 5am to 11am tomorrow morning.
But forecaster with Met Eireann Gerry Murphy say winds may be more severe than previously expected.
