Some of the faults aren't expected to be fixed until tomorrow evening.

ESB is working to restore electricity supply to these customers today, but some face another few days' wait. 

Uisce Eireann released the statement this evening.

Susan Gaynor's 92-year-old grandmother is one of those affected and is in her third day without power.

There are over 200 without electricity in Longford, over 4,000 in Roscommon, and almost 3,200 in Leitrim.

There have been problems with water supplies in the area after power cuts on Friday night.

It comes as thousands have been impacted by the storm locally, with strong gusts of wind posing a risk to lives across the region.

Almost 31,000 are currently without electricity in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon.
