Works on completing the streetscape in Carrick-on-Shannon have resumed in the last 24 hours.
Leitrim County Council has confirmed that the contractors are back on site after works were paused due to the level 5 lockdown.
The Council had been previously advised that the streetscape works were not classed as ‘essential’ under the government’s level 5 lockdown roadmap.
However, contractors are now back on site to try and complete the project which has been hit with several delays as well as controversy over its slow pace since it began almost 12 months ago.
