The official re-opening of Strokestown Library will get underway later this afternoon.
The facility closed at the start of the pandemic and has since undergone a major refurbishment.
The works were supported be funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development and include new furniture, shelving and flooring, the installation of a meeting booth and the expansion of the space allocated to the children's library.
The collection of stock has been expanded to include an extensive children's collection and the addition of console games. A new Wi-Fi service is now also available to the public alongside public computer access.
The opening hours of the library have increased to 28.5 hours per week from 23 hours, this includes a doubling of the opening hours on Saturdays from three to six hours.
Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council Joe Murphy will perform the official opening at 2pm and he's encouraging locals to use the facility.
Speaking to Shannonside FM councillor Murphy says the library is now a bright and welcoming facility in the town.
