The job market in the Shannonside Northern Sound region had a strong recovery throughout last year by the end of 2020.
New figures from IrishJobs.ie show the job vacancy rate throughout the region last year was significantly up from 2019 levels in many areas.
Leitrim and Longford recorded the highest growth in job vacancy rates with a
79 per cent increase year on year.
Cavan and Monaghan also recovered over the course of the year, with the counties recording a 31 and 13 per cent increase in job opportunities respectively.
Roscommon was the only county regionally to record a drop in job vacancies, with available jobs down 12 per cent when compared to 2019.
