Plans for a new civic centre at Connolly Barracks in Longford have hit a stumbling block.
Longford County Council received two submissions exploring the feasibility of community, social and economic developments on the campus.
The studies also looked at the development of public services centre and new local authority offices.

Shannonside FM news understands that following an external review, both submissions have been deemed nonviable.
