A yellow dusk-like substance found on lakes and property in Roscommon at the weekend is believed to be pine pollen, which comes from pine trees.
It was found on Lough Key in Boyle, Errit Lake in Gorthaganny, and cars in Castlerea.
Independent MEP Luke 'Ming' Flanagan raised concerns that someone had poured paint in the Gorthaganny lake.
