Substantial assets including €10,000 in cash and a cherry picker have been seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau in Longford today.
CAB, working with the Emergency Response Unit, the Regional Armed Support Unit, local Gardai and the Customs Dog unit among others searched 12 locations in the county today.
In the course of the operation €10,000 in cash along with €78,000 in restrained bank accounts, 2 cars with a total worth of over €50,000 and 3 Rolex watches were seized by the authorities.
Also confiscated during the searches, was a cherry picker, financial documents and several electronic devices.
Today's operation was conducted as part of an on-going Criminal Assets Bureau investigation into assets linked to a significant midlands based Organised Crime Gang believed to be involved in the sale and supply of drugs and vehicle crime.
