A group of students from Elphin Community College in Roscommon have been chosen as on of ten Irish entrants in this years Junk Kouture Finals.
A total of more than 80 entrants from schools across the country took part in the completion at the 3Arena in Dublin yesterday.
Junk Kouture is also open to students across England, France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and New York.
The entries have to be manufactured from unwanted and recycled items, with the Elphin winning outfit made up of old electric wiring, a copper cylinder, and rusted corrugated iron.
The World Junk Kouture title was won last year by students from Cnoc Mhuire in Granard.
