A member of the Shannonside FM news team took home a prestigious national award this evening.
Daniel Considine was awarded Broadcast Court Reporter of the Year at the Justice Media Awards in Dublin.
His submission, titled "In the line of duty" which covered the Detective Garda Colm Horkan murder trial, was cited by the judges as "high calibre court reporting".

The Joe Finnegan Show also received a merit in the local radio category for their piece titled "Pandemic Justice" which focused on the backlogs in the court system.
