Several areas in the Shannonside region are celebrating this week after winning prizes at the North West and West Tidy Towns competition.
The prize-giving ceremony, honouring the West's tidiest towns and villages, took place in Kilronan Castle in Co Roscommon on Wednesday.
There was a record number of entries received this year with 882 entries.
Keadue in Co.Roscommon won the regional award for the northwest region with Carrick on Shannon, Keadue, and Cloone all also picking up awards

In Roscommon, Cloontuskert, Keadue and Castlecoote won County awards.
Meanwhile, Carrick on Shannon, Dromod, Cloone and Dromahair in Leitrim also won County awards.
And Roscommon and Keadue both won gold medals.
