People living with dementia in Longford and Westmeath are set to benefit from a new daycare centre in Multyfarnham.
Tanaiste Michael Martin officially opened the facility earlier today which will provide specialised care and support for people with dementia and respite care for their carers.
The centre will offer various activities and programs to promote cognitive stimulation, social engagement, and physical activity.
Head of Operations at The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland Siobhan O'Connor paid special tribute to the local support attributed to this opening, especially the Franciscan Order, who have provided the location for the centre.
