A local Senator has defended the Tánaiste's delay in meeting with flood-affected residents in South Roscommon. Micheál Martin's office confirmed yesterday that he would visit Lough Funshinagh at the end of next month. It comes as two families were recently forced from their homes due to rising water levels in nearby Curraghboy. Local resident and councillor Laurence Fallon earlier expressed his disappointment that the visit wouldn't take place until 31st May.
