Taoiseach to visit Longford at National Famine Commemoration

Simon Harris will make his first visit to Longford as Taoiseach this Sunday at the National Famine Commemoration.
He will be accompanied by Media Minister Catherine Martin at the event in Edgeworthstown.

The event will include military honours and a wreath laying ceremony in remembrance of all those who suffered or perished during the Famine.
The ceremony is due to get underway at 12pm this Sunday at the Green in Edgeworthstown.
