The Roscommon flight attendant says she is desperate 'to go home to Ireland and put this in the past.'

Taoiseach Simon Harris has vowed to intervene in the case where a Roscommon woman is currently being detained in Dubai.

Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald told the Dáil yesterday that 28 year old Tori Towey has been the victim of domestic violence and is now facing criminal charges.

According to The Star Newspaper, the Roscommon flight attendant says she is desperate 'to go home to Ireland and put this in the past.'

The Sinn Féin leader said the system in Dubai chose to detain her instead of protecting women.

Responding to Deputy McDonald's call for action, the Taoiseach said he's happy to engage with the case:
