Fine Gael committed to the ambulance service when the A&E at Roscommon Hospital was closed 13 years ago.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be performed by the Taoiseach and the Garda Band will also perform on the day.

He met the school's new committee, who told him the current facilities are inadequate and there is an overcrowding problem.
