It's after plans for a boutique hotel in Elphin Street have been scrapped, with the property now for sale.

There are calls for tax incentives to be offered to a business person to develop a much-needed hotel in Boyle.

It's after plans for a boutique hotel in Elphin Street have been scrapped, with the property now for sale.

There's a big shortage of tourist accommodation in the north Roscommon town, which has no hotel and only a few guesthouses.

Local Fianna Fáil councillor Sean Moylan says the state should try to solve the problem.
