Deputy Frank Feighan says the Department responsible for the care of Refugees, has in the past, failed to release details to communities identified to provide accommodation.
Speaking to Let's Talk today, the Sligo Leitrim TD says misinformation can easily spread if there is a lack of official details:
'Sometimes maybe the department haven't been to the forefront in releasing that information and again ninety-nine percent of the time this is done without any fuss. This done but there are situations where people are anxious and rightly so they are anxious .What we want to do is to ensure that we get the right information out there. That space isn't filled by misinformation and that's when it goes wrong.'
