Ballaghaderreen Library is set to reopen this morning at a temporary location in the town. The service has been shut over the past number of years due to the need for significant restoration works at Dillon House in the town. Those works are due to be completed later this year with services now available at a location adjacent to Supervalu in the town centre.
Following identification of the temporary site and a Part 8 planning process to allow the service to operate, the Library will now reopen at 10 o'clock this morning. Members of the public will be able to access photocopying, printing, PC access, Wi-Fi, study areas and an extensive offering of books. In a statement to Shannonside FM News, Roscommon County Council say staff are on hand to resume the provision of Digital Resources such as eBooks, Audiobooks, eMagazines, online newspapers, and online courses as well as language courses.
