Local councillors have approved the opening of a temporary library in Ballaghaderreen. A special meeting of Boyle Muncipal District gave the green light to Part 8 works to install the facility adjacent to SuperValu in the town. News that the temporary service will open on February 16th has been welcomed by local councillors Michael Mulligan and Liam Callaghan.
Ballaghaderreen's public library at Dillon House has been closed since 2020 as it awaits refurbishment works. A fully modernised library known as My Open Library is expected to open in October of this year.
