A planning application will be lodged today for a temporary solution to the flooding crisis in south Roscommon.
Roscommon County Council will submit the documents to An Bord Pleanála, looking for the go-ahead for a temporary pipeline and pumps at Curraghboy.
It's hoped the measure will prevent homes being flooded around Lough Funshinagh this winter.
