Motorists can save up to ten cents per litre for fuel if they shop around in the Shannonside region when filling up their cars.
According to new figures form the AA, drivers are being charged an average of €1.86 for a litre of petrol and €1.89 for diesel.

Locally, figures are collated by website pumps.ie show that the cheapest litre of fuel in the Shannonside region can be purchased at a premises in Roscommon town where the price is one euro seventy-five cent.
North Leitrim has the highest petrol prices with a litre setting a motorist back one euro 87 cents.
