A tender for a site investigation in Roscommon Town has been issued for the Putting the Spokes Back into the Wheel Urban Renewal Scheme.
The scheme was funded nearly 10 million euro in 2021 to revitialise the county town by improving public areas to encourage more people to live there.
Public realm improvement works are part of the scheme on Church Street, Goff Street, the N61 and N63, as well as on Main Street.
Roscommon county council are seeking a contractor to provide detailed design documentation by gathering all necessary site investigation data.
Among the scope of the work envisaged for the contractor are a GPR survey, fieldwork sampling and a Geotechnical & Geoenvironemntal Laboratory Testing for the site.
