Tenders have been opened for a new scenic walking and cycling trail in Leitrim. The project is centred around the Narrow-Gauge Railway line which runs along land in Drumshanbo. The project comprises the development of approximately 1.1 kilometres of a scenic recreational walking and cycling trail from the Dowra Road via Convent Road to the Ballinamore Road.
The project is set to cost €400,000 with the tender including site-clearance work, excavating work, landscaping and the construction of leisure facilities. Local councillor Enda McGloin is welcoming the project:
