Tenders have now opened for a 15 million euro contract to enhance the visitor experience of a popular North Roscommon park. Lough Key Forest and Activity Park in Roscommon is run by the state-owned commercial forestry business Coillte and welcomes thousands of visitors every year. The organisation has advertised tenders for the project which is aimed at increasing capacity at the park, offering more activities on site and expanding available accommodation.
According to the tender documents, the contract is worth 15 million euro and includes architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services. Tenders for the project are currently open with the deadline for receipt set at the end of September. Local Fine Gael TD and former chair of the Lough Key Forest Park Action Group, Frank Feighan says its exciting to see the start of another journey for the popular park:
