There has been tense scenes in the Dáil as TDs clashed over what to do to curb the rising cost of living.
A Labour party motion on the issue said the Government doesn't understand the problem and needs to do more than a 100 euro voucher towards electricity bills.
Sinn Féin chose to attack the Government over the state of the rental market, saying there has been precious little done to help tenants.
