Leitrim village doesn't have enough services for an asylum-seeker centre, according to a local councillor.
The Department of Integration is considering accommodating international-protection applicants in the Leitrim Marina Hotel.
A public meeting, organised by the local community, is taking place in St Joseph's Hall in Leitrim Village at 9.30 tonight.
