Gardai in Athlone are investigating the theft of several thousand euro worth of boat engines and boating equipment from the Lakeside Marina at Ballykeeran on Sunday night.
It's understood that a total of 19 boat engines and assorted other equipment was taken from the marina around midnight on Sunday night.
Gardai believe a trailer or lorry would likely have been needed to take the engines and equipment away.
They're appealing for anyone who may have been travelling in the general Ballykeeran area between 10 o' clock on Sunday night and two o' clock in the early hours of Monday morning to contact them if they have any dash cam footage.
They're also asking anyone else who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area on Sunday night to get in touch with them.
