Three gardai who were murdered in west Roscommon will be among those honoured at the annual Garda Memorial Day tomorrow.
A total of 89 gardai who were killed in the line of duty, or who gave their lives in the service of the state, will be honoured in Dubhlinn Gardens in Dublin Castle at 12 noon tomorrow.
They include Detective Garda Colm Horkan, who was shot dead in Castlerea in 2020.
They also include Detective Garda John Morley and Garda Henry Byrne, who were shot dead in Loughglynn in 1980.
Local elections candidate in Ballaghaderreen, Micheál Frain, says the three men gave great service.
