Three schools from the Shannonside Region have scooped the top prizes at this year's Student Enterprise Awards.
Schools in Roscommon, Longford and Leitrim topped the three categories with the winners announced at a ceremony over the weekend.
The Student Enterprise Awards is a start your own business competition with over 25,000 secondary school students taking part this year.
Roscommon Community College Students Joshua McCormack and Evan McNeil, took home the senior title for their business ' McCompatctors'.
The pair developed a compactor that attaches to wheelie bins, with the Roscommon students selling over 100 devices online.
Both students also secured the Social Media and Intellectual Property award.
In the intermediate category, Longford Student Caitlin Morris was awarded top marks for her business Clip Clop Designs.
The Moyne Community School student re-purposed horseshoes to make colourful decorations for the home.
Leitrim took home first prize in the Junior category with Drumshanbo Vocational School student's Freya Whitney, Alexandra O'Looney and Amy Keaveney receiving top marks for their 'Grasper' business.
The students developed a hand-held farm safety tool that helps farmers to open slurry tank covers.
Elsewhere in the region, students from St. Nathy's College in Ballaghaderreen also won the Intellectual property award in the intermediate category for their business 'Chopping Away'.
