Three Strokestown teenagers who raised over €64,000 for charity were honoured at this year's Garda National Youth Awards.
Andrew Jordan, Jack Beirne and Mark Rogers restored a 1956 Ferguson 20 tractor and raffled it in aid of Childhood Cancer Foundation Ireland.
The Scoil Mhuire students received their national award at a ceremony in Portlaoise which celebrated outstanding young people who actively contributed to their communities.
Award winner, Jack Beirne, who is a survivor of childhood cancer hopes they can inspire other students to take on big projects.
