Three teenagers were arrested today after an assault of a schoolboy in Meath.
Gardaí are treating Monday's incident in Navan as a hate crime. They arrested the three teenage boys in the Navan area this morning. They're being held at Garda Stations across Meath. The incident came to light after video footage was shared on social media.
The boy needed hospital treatment for serious facial injuries. Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has been in contact with the boy and his family.In a statement. Gardai have again asked the public to not share the video out of respect to the victim.
Gardaí have arrested two further teenagers in relation to an assault on a 14-year-old boy in Navan on Monday.
The three teenagers arrested this morning have been released without charge.
