A local tidy towns group is urging the public to clean up after their dog.
The message comes from Granard Tidy Towns following an increase in dog fouling on pavements in the town.
They are reminding the public that it's the responsibility of the dog owner to pick up their dogs foul using the bag dispensers provided.
Elsewhere in the region, Councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice says dog fouling is also a problem in Castlerea.
Councillor Fitzmaurice says following his bid to highlight the issue, Roscommon County Council have provided signage and markers to remind people to bin their dog's pollution.
