Special traffic cameras have been installed on the N60 at Oran in order to examine if there needs to be additional safety measures put in place.
A traffic consultant is to examine footage from the cameras which were installed last week for a 14 day period, to examine safety issues around vehicles overtaking as well as their speed approaching major junctions on the newly developed road.
Local residents have expressed worries that a serious incident could take place unless additional traffic calming measures are implemented.
