An international tourism expert says the main way of developing the Hidden heartlands tourism brand will be to create unique experiences for people to enjoy.
Professor Terry Stevens is Founder and Managing Director of a tourism consultancy in the UK which has worked in 50 countries around the work, specialising in destination development.
He's recently been appointed as a visiting professor to the Technological University of the Shannon in Athlone and Limerick and will work with local organisations to help develop projects in the region.
Speaking on the Let's Talk show this afternoon the tourism expert says Ireland already has a very good marketing brand with the development of regions like the Wild Atlantic Way and Hidden Heartlands, but people have to be given a reason to visit.
