Waterways Ireland has confirmed that all traces of an oil or fuel spill in Acres Lake in Drumshanbo have now been removed.
Concern was expressed on Wednesday after what was described a significant slick was noted from the jetties down to beyond the walkway on the popular Leitrim lake.
A crew from Waterways Ireland initially attended the scene on Wednesday morning to treat the area and returned on Thursday to confirm that all traces of the slick have now been removed.
