The lights will not be fully working until the end of next week.

It was announced in recent days that Transport Infrastructure Ireland has given the go ahead for the installation of traffic lights at a dangerous junction in Frenchpark

The area has been described as one of the worst traffic blackspots in the Shannonside region.

The issue has been raised on numerous occasions.

Gardai have also appealed to motorists and pedestrians to be cautious on the approach.
